Heather Broughton joined Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board in 2011 as senior business process manager, and previously worked at Northwater Capital Management in a senior institutional investment role, involved with trading, portfolio management, systems design and institutional knowledge management. She is very active in microfinance and international development. She is a director of the Northwater Foundation, where she has organized numerous microfinance internships for young Canadians and is an active member of the planning committee the Toronto International Microfinance Summit. In 2011, she was Vice-Chair of the Summit.

 

Cecilia Luko
Treasurer 

Cecilia Luko is an assurance and advisory professional with background in accounting and finance. She began her career at Deloitte Brazil in 1996 and has extensive experience leading audit teams and consulting projects in the Canadian, Brazilian and American markets. Engaged on corporate governance and social responsibility, Cecilia has worked with clients in a broad range of industries including non-profit, financial Institutions, natural resources and manufacturing, and is a firm believer in partnership between organizations, professionals and communities to tackle society’s most pressing problems.

 

David Myhre, MS
Director

Dave Myhre is a Senior Advisor to the SEEP Network and Senior Fellow at Hispanics in Philanthropy in California. Previously he was director of microfinance at the MasterCard Foundation. Reporting directly to the CEO and leading a team of 3 managers, he developed $60 million in grants and designed the initial microfinance program strategy and pioneering activities to build the emerging field of youth microfinance. Before that, he was senior program officer at the Ford Foundation, where he managed an active portfolio of 80 grants that built the infrastructure for pro-poor microfinance in Mexico and Central America. He also co-chaired the Foundation’s Affinity Group on Development Finance. He has edited two books on rural economic sociology and written numerous articles for scholarly journals.
