Following piloting of the first iteration of the Salone OIM Library in recent months, a revised and updated version was released today. This follows pilot tests of the Library templates by three microfinance institutions (LAPO, Harvest, and Yoni Community Bank), the Freetown-based New Salone Woman Organization, and a national adult literacy NGO (SLADEA). Results of piloting showed that OIM enables participants to read dates and longer multi-digit numbers, and greatly increases their confidence in their ability to contend with formal sector financial records.
